It’s Pesach- a time for family. The Seder, Matzoh, Wine…and fond memories.

Thanks to you and Just One Life - over 10,000 Jewish children in Israel will experience the joy of Pesach.

This is the time of year when everyone is busy with preparations for Passover. We at Just One Life are doing the same. In Israel, where the difficult situation fills all of us with worry, we are facing a tremendous emergency as we continue our work - extending a helping hand to expectant mothers in crisis. We ask, what can we do? How can we help?

One answer is JUST ONE LIFE

Just One Life provided vans to bring our client families from the north to Jerusalem as well as additional funds to families struggling with the trauma of war. We helped with not just the everyday financial, emotional or medical worries that an unintended or medically at risk pregnancy bring, but also compounded by the tremendous stress of living in a wartime situation. We provide money, counseling and other services to these families to help them through the pregnancy.

Every year in Israel more than 20,000 mothers, many of whom would love nothing more than to have their children, choose early termination or ignore serious medical problems, due to dire financial difficulties.

Working for more than a decade with doctors, social workers, health professionals and clinics Just One Life’s executive vice president Madelaine Gitelman, MSW, has become a recognized resource for pregnant women in crisis in Israel.
